Position Overview

Albaugh is looking for his/her new Site Director for Slovenia, who will report to Vice President of Technology, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA).  The position is based in Race, Slovenia.

Principal Duties & Responsibilites

• Ensure the Site operates with high safety standards both locally and globally

• Monitor and make decisions to enhance the performance of all operations within the site. Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies.

• Develop and execute plans for all aspects of production including equipment purchases, staffing needs, work schedules, and material requirements.

• Promotes objectives and strategies to sustain a continuous improvement in variable and fixed production costs, working on productivity, quality, and safety indicators

• Responsible for the time and cost needed to complete investment projects

• Ensure products meet quality standards through leadership of quality standards, policies, procedures in own facilities and toll manufacturing arrangements.

• Responsible for developing and executing technology and engineering projects.

• Directs and implement the company’s R&D policies, objectives, and initiatives

• Member of the Global Production and Technology Community

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree or greater in chemistry, engineering, manufacturing or related fields

• More than 10 years of experience in a similar role in an international environment with a focus on production management, and a professional with previous experience as Plant Manager in the chemical, petrochemical or agrochemical industry is beneficial.

• Experience in Supply chain, production planning and R&D is beneficial.

• A high ability to influence and motivate the Site Management Team and Production team in a collaborative environment

• Strong communication skill with unions representatives

• High capacity for organization, planning, monitoring and control

• Proactive, innovative, and result-oriented mindset

• Fluent in Slovenian and in English, another European language is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
