Triazopyrimidine with post-emergence herbicidal activity against dicotyledons. It acts by inhibiting the enzyme acetolactate synthase, necessary in the biosynthesis of the essential amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. It is absorbed by roots and shoots and translocated in the xylem and phloem throughout the plant. A few hours after application, growth stops and symptoms of chlorosis and necrosis begin to appear.
