Synthetic auxin derived from benzoic acid. A residual, systemic herbicide with pre-emergence and post-emergence action, it is absorbed by the roots and aerial parts of the plants. It easily translocates through the phloem and xylem and tends to accumulate in areas of high metabolic activity, such as meristematic tissues.
